Avatar can provide product developement services but we also market our own products for athletics coaching under the DRILLClock brand. Our LED Displays are used on many athletics training fields across the USA. On college and High School practice fields they have numbers that are 15" to 20" tall created with super bright LEDs. For coaching athletics timers that have been called the Segment Timers, can give a coaching staff a tool that will set the days practice into pre defined "segments" of time, keeping track of the various drill routines. As an assistant, the Segment Timer is much like having another coach on the field. The DRILLClock DM1-100 Timer serves this purpose and has a 1/100th of a second Stopwatch timer that works like a handheld stopwatch.
Other projects cover a range of audio and serial communication devices, plus the firmware to achieve the necessary results and operation. Keeping the project work in house ensures a minimum of down time for customers. Updating product firmware and the ability to make changes and test, without delay can be most important.
Timer Systems For Athletics
Athletics Coaching has been an important part of Avatar's product development projects. The process of creating new designs starts with identifying the attributes that are needed. The Display Cart
When athletics training programs get underway, a coaching staff needs the list of equipment ready to go to the field. On the first day, and every day after, a practice routine begins with the equipment being where it should be and ready to go! And that was the the idea behind the Display Cart. It has been designed for the DRILLClock timers and the LED displays so important to the Segment Timer. The DM1-100 Timer with the MAX20 LED display can be carried to the practice field and set up on it's tripod stand, and that is fine. The same timer on the Display Cart is rolled out to the field and with one click ov an ON switch, the Segment Timer starts. The LED Display is elevated higher than possible on the tripod stand, with much more wind stability. There is ample room on the top and bottom shel;ves for a lot of coaching supplies like clip boards ect. When practice ends, the Didplay Cart is rolled into the locker room, and all that is needed to get ready for the next practice is plugging a cord into power to charge the battery. The wire harness simplifies all aspects of using the timer system. The cart is all steel with 5" rubber wheels for the field and they are non marking for the gym floor.

Communication for a military command post or other governmental operations, consist of radio assets as well as wired phone systems. The many different systems that are the military standards, present a range of signal protocols. Interfacing radio assets to achieve compatibilty gives command the direct connection when and where it is needed.
